Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

1. Introduction

Clapscape ("we", "us", "our") operates a platform that connects travelers with tour operators, guides, drivers and other freelance travel professionals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Clapscape, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use Clapscape.

2. Information We Collect

Account information — name, email, phone number, password, and profile photo when you register.
Verification documents — for agents, guides and drivers: government ID, business registration, and license details submitted for our verification process.
Booking information — trip dates, destinations, bid amounts, messages exchanged around a booking, and booking history.
Payment information — transactions are processed by our payment processor. We store a record of the transaction (amount, status, booking reference) but do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
Usage data — pages visited, searches made, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected automatically to help us run and improve the platform.
Reviews and ratings you submit after a completed, paid booking.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account, and to match travelers with agents, guides and drivers.
To process bids, bookings, and payments, including releasing payment once a trip is confirmed.
To verify the identity and credentials of agents, guides and drivers before they can list on the platform.
To calculate search ranking based on reviews and response time, and to label paid featured placements as advertising.
To send booking confirmations, receipts, and service updates.
To investigate disputes, cancellations, or suspected abuse of the platform.
To improve Clapscape and understand how the platform is used.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share only what's needed to make a booking work, and never sell your personal information.

With the traveler or provider on the other side of a booking — enough to complete the trip (name, contact details, itinerary).
With our payment processor, to complete transactions.
With verification partners, where third-party checks on licenses or identity documents are required.
With law enforcement or regulators, where required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
With service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, analytics, customer support), under confidentiality obligations.

5. Data Retention

We keep account and booking records for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. Verification documents are retained only as long as needed to keep your verified status current.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Access or update your account information at any time from your profile settings.
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Request deletion of your account, subject to us retaining records required for legal or dispute-resolution purposes.
Opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how Clapscape is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if you disable them.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No online platform can guarantee complete security, so we encourage you to use a strong password and to keep your login details private.

9. Children's Privacy

Clapscape is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we'll remove such information if we become aware of it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the platform or by email before they take effect.
