ClapScape didn't start with a business plan. It started with a tour operator who landed one client through her mom's referral, then couldn't land a second for months. Not for lack of skill — for lack of visibility.
We heard the same thing from every angle. A guide idle for years while travelers asked strangers on Reddit for recommendations he could've given directly. A tourist who gave up comparing prices because there was nowhere to do it.
Three sides, same problem. That's what ClapScape fixes.

Three sides of the same platform — here's what each one can do.
As a Traveller
As a Travel Agent
As a Freelancer
Trust first.
A marketplace only works if people believe in it. We're building ClapScape around verified operators and guides, not just listings, because trust is what turns a one-time booking into a returning customer.
Community over scale.
We're not trying to be a global platform that treats Bhutan as one line item among a hundred destinations. We're building for the people who actually work here — the guides, drivers, and agents who know the country better than any algorithm could.
Fair access.
Good guides shouldn't stay idle because they don't have a marketing budget. Good travelers shouldn't overpay because there's no way to compare prices. We want the playing field to be level for everyone on the platform.
Simplicity
Booking a tour is already complicated enough — different guides, different routes, different permits. The platform should make that easier, not add another layer of friction.
Mostly, it's about trust. Booking through a stranger online is stressful enough without wondering if the person on the other end is even real — so everything here is easy to check before you commit to it.
Second, we kept seeing small travel agencies struggle to get clients at all, let alone compete with the big names that can outspend them on ads and referrals. Here, a listing stands on its own reviews, not its marketing budget.
Third — and this one's personal — we're from Bhutan, and we kept watching our most talented guides and drivers leave to find work abroad because there wasn't enough of a local network to keep them busy at home. This is for them.
